Say hello to Mr Darcy, well our lookalike. Often confused for Colin Firth, who played Jane Austen’s archetypal society gentleman Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy, of the acclaimed 1995 BBC adaption of Pride and Prejudice, our Mr Darcy lookalike has worked on an array of events.
He has worked with the English Heritage on a PR launch for a prestigious Jane Austen event at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens in Northumberland. The event focused on promoting the costumes worn by characters of television and film adaptions of Jane Austen’s work. This involved live radio interviews, a photo-shoot and of course, a re-creation of the famous moment when Colin Firth’s Darcy stepped out of the lake in his iconic soaked white shirt.
The National Trust has also had the opportunity to work with our lookalike at an event at Lyme Park, Disley, Stockport. The event included a pre-launch PR photo shoot and a meet and greet with visitors to the park. This gave a great opportunity for visitors to have pictures taken within the grounds where the filming took place for Pride and Prejudice.
Our Mr Darcy lookalike can also do hen parties, making a surprise appearance and escorting the party to their desired location.
Have you got an event coming up, historical or otherwise, why not bring in Mr Darcy? Looking every bit the Regency gentlemen he is sure to have your guests “bewitched… body and soul”.
