Activity Summary

The Mall Walthamstow was looking to provide fun imagination filled workshops for children throughout the summer holidays.

Kru Solution

We created a diverse range of workshops for childrens entertainment.

One of the workshops we devised was a cartoon workshop which ran over five days in the shopping centre.

We provided a cartoon artist who had a DBS ( disclosure and barring service) check which means they have been vetted to work with children.

The cartoon artists assisted children in drawing cartoons and creating their own comic strips.

Children were able to take their masterpiece comic strips home.

Results

Media attention from the local newspaper.

A total of 232 children engaged with the cartoon workshop.

67 of parents said they would come to the centre more often if there were similar events which entertained their children.
